From the cobbled streets of the Old Town, with some still standing 17th century flint buildings, a long sandy beach with cafes, curio shops and seafood stalls Margate is still a popular seaside resort.

Margate was the first seaside resort to have deck chairs in the late 1890's and donkey rides as early as 1790.
Many of the buildings in Margate's old Town date back to the georgian and victorian era. It is believed the Tudor house dates back as far as the early 1500'.
